I accidently upgraded to 8.2 and want to go back to 8.1.1
You are likely jumping to conclusions. My guess is you may just have to modify iTune 8.2's Preferences.
What is iTunes 8.2 doing, or NOT doing, that makes you think you have to revert bacdownload itunes 8 for mack to iTunes 8.1?
Please FULLY describe the REAL problem, and then maybe we can help.
iTunes updates automatically during OS X Updates. This is similar to Windows Media Player in Windows Updates.

i don't think you can downgrade software once you have updated it.
