what is that song talking about, i try to analyze the lyrics but i still don't understand, can some please explain it to me as detailed as you can.

I'd have to disagree, but only slightly. It does seem to be about a guy and the girl he used to date (let's call her girl #2) and the girl he is currently dating (let's call her girl #1), but I don't think that the narrator of the song actually means that she thinks she should have been more like the new girl.

Some of the lines even make me think that this is really a situation of a guy leaving girl #1 for girl #2 and then going back to girl #1 ["You took a chance on a bruised and beaten heart...Then you realized you wanted what you had."] I think the narrator is pointing out that the new girl is a bit of a doormat for her guy, and that she couldn't have been like that if she wanted to ["She don't have too much to say when she gets mad...She understands she don't let go of anything...Even when the pain gets really bad"].

Also, it seems that the new girl is one of those girls that just turns a blind eye to thmore like her lyrics meaninge things her man does wrong and keeps on loving him anyway, probably more than she is loved in return ["...desperation showed it's truth...You love her and she loves you with all she has"]. The narrator is really just saying that she's too strong and prideful to act that way in a relationship. I may be wrong here, but this is the way I've understood the song...

* When I hear this song I think about two girls and a guy. The one girl did everything that you're not supposed to do in a relationship, or didn't try hard enough. So the boy left her met somebody else and found a girl who is amazing at everything. It's almost as like she's comparing herself to this other girl realizing what she's doing, she should have done it also. I don't know if that makes sense, or if this is correct but that's what I think. Hope I helped : )
