Hello, I had my first panick attack ever 1 month ago.
After this my life has turned very miserable, currently I am not studying and Im just laying around all day.
I started experiencing slight shortness of breath before the attack, and moderate shortness of breath after the attack.
Ive seen the cardiologist and gotten x-rays and all showed up normal...
I just got my deviated septum fixed 2 weeks ago and Ive had to breath thrshortness of breath causes yawningough the mouth all the time and I STILL experiment shortness of breath....is this normal? Im breathing more through the nose now and still dont feel normal...its driving me nuts...the doc said it might be anxiety....but seriously...im chilling all day at home recovering...would it be normal to have anxiety 24/7???
Anybody experienced something similar before?? Should I wait 2 months for a full recovery and then see the results? shortness of breath causes yawningor should I just go to a shrink since I cant seem to breath well through the mouth either??? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two weeks is not enough recovery time yet. Be patient. Your surgeon knew what he or she was doing. You're going to be just fine. People with anxiety can greatly reduce the feeling by slowly breathing in, hold and count to four, then slowly breathe out, hold and count to four. It really works.
