i needed to download microsoft word 98 for free since i have a slow comp and i need a old version and i need a free antivirus software to protect my computer and also does anyone no any free downloads of softwares that make my computer faster???????
#1: try going to a 'used computer' store and see if they have any cheap W98 discs (I have W98SE = Second Edition afree microsoft antivirus downloadnd I love it
#2: Avast = AVG (anti-virus) and it's pretty good, user-friendly and FREE!
#3: type 'Major Geeks' in Google or Yahoo Search for a LOT of freeware.
You cannot get Microsoft Office Products for Free.
I would recommend however looking at http://www.openoffice.org There you can find a FREE full featured Office Application.
For Free Anti Vifree microsoft antivirus downloadrus, I found that the best in my opinion is Anti-Vir, which you can find at http://www.free-av.com

The only thing I can help you with is the anti-virus software. I have AVAST! Go to avast.com and look for the menu at the top of the page. Click DOWNLOAD > DOWNLOAD PROGRAMS and pick the one you want.
